Yunnan Lincang Xinyuan Germanium Industry Co., Ltd.(hereafter referred to as Yunnan Germanium/the Company) is a high-tech enterprise integrating germanium mining, further processing and research and development, with more than 40 years’ experience of germanium production. Yunnan Germanium has 8 subsidiaries, located in Lincang, Kunming & Wuhan etc. In 2004 and 2015, the Company obtained International Quality Management System Certification ISO9001, Environmental Management System ISO14001, Occupational Health and Safety System Certification ISO18001 respectively. In 2008, Yunnan Germanium was initially certified as the First Batch of “High-Tech Enterprises” and “Key High-Tech Enterprises of National Torch Program” in Yunnan Province. It is the “Lincang State Germanium Material High-Tech Industrial Base Enterprises” which was recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2010. By the end of 2016, the Company has more than 10 categories of products: high-purity germanium dioxide, organic germanium, zone-refined germanium ingot, infrared germanium optical element, overall unit of infrared thermal imager, germanium single crystal and wafer for solar battery application, high efficiency CPV module, optical fiber grade germanium tetrachloride, single crystal and wafer of high purity gallium arsenide and indium phosphide.
Technological Development
The company has a specialized R&D center——Enterprise Technology Center which was approved and recognized as “Provincial Enterprise Technical Center “(Yunnan Economy and Technology[2007] no. 393), "Research Center for Germanium Materials Engineering Technology in Yunnan Province" approved and recognized by Yunnan province in 2010.In December 2015, it was approved and recognized by the National Development and Reform Commission as a State-Level Enterprise Technology Center [2015] 3264 mainly engaged in the germanium single crystal and wafer for solar battery application, ultra high purity germanium and high-purity germanium detector, the infrared optical germanium precision components, infrared thermal imager, germanium high-end new products, indium phosphide single crystal and wafer and the core key technology development and industrialization technology development of other semiconductor materials. During the National Twelfth Five-Year Plan period, the Company established an input mechanism of new technology and new product research and development and another mechanism of technology innovation cooperation. In collaborations with the Institute of Semiconductors of Chinese Academy of Science, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Shenzhen University, North China Electric Power University and other colleges and universities, the Company established a research team based on academician and researcher of Chinese academy of science, set up a research and development platform for production, learning and research, thus realized the integration of research, industry and trade. Through independent and cooperative research and development, the Company has mastered 48 key technologies including germanium, gallium arsenide, silicon and other semiconductor materials, and realized the industrialization of intensive processing through the transformation of achievements. The company has presided over and participated in the formulation of the National Germanium Industry Standard, 41 projects altogether, and is drafting 9 standard items. In 2011 and 2015, it twice won the award of the Standardization Innovation Contribution of Yunnan Province, and won eight awards for Excellence in National semiconductor Materials Standard successively.Undertaken 2 National Science and Technology Support Projects, 1 national science and technology Project 863, 6 provincial and municipal science and technology projects;There are 65 authorized patents, including 23 invention patents. Successively won the first prize of Technical Invention of Yunnan Province in 2014, Annual Science and Technology Innovation Award in 2011, more than 10 scientific and technological awards, including Science and Technology Progress Award of Yunnan Province. Brand Building
The company highly values brand construction as well as the improvement of product quality, focuses on customer satisfaction, and communicates with customers timely to understand the needs of customers. Yunnan Germanium owns one famous trademark in China and another one in Yunnan province, two famous brand products at provincial level and two key new products in Yunnan province. In April 2012, the trademark “Lin Xin Yuan” and its logo were recognized by the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce as the well-known trademark in China. In October 2010, zone-refined germanium ingot of “Lin Xin Yuan” was designated as the famous brand product in Yunnan province by the Brand Strategy Recommendation Committee of Yunnan Province. High-purity germanium dioxide of “Lin Xin Yuan” enjoyed the same reputation later on in October 2013. "Germanium single crystal and wafer for high-efficiency solar battery" and "organic germanium-132" were awarded the key new products in Yunnan province in 2014. "Germanium dioxide, organic germanium" of “Lin Xin Yuan” were approved and recognized as the famous trademark of Yunnan province in 2010.
