As an advocator and practitioner of industrializing magnesium alloy in China, senior engineer Jianyong Cao has been working in manufacturing management and operation of magnesium and magnesium alloy for nearly a decade. He founded Chongqing Magnesium S&T Co., Ltd and was appointed to be GM by 2000. He led his team to firstly apply magnesium alloy in motorcycle parts and then use it in dynamic tools, auto parts and machinery section with mass production. Cao has held the post of executive member of China Magnesium Association, member of China Materials Research Society and vice chairman of China Metal Working Society, posting and participating in “the Tenth Five-Year” and “the Eleventh Five-Year” important science and technology projects and 863 magnesium alloy project. He was awarded second prize of 2011 scientific and technological progress and ministerial level advanced individual of China Non-ferrous Metals Association and he has more than ten invention patent and utility model patent on magnesium alloy. Cao also participates in formulation of six national standards including State Magnesium Alloy Safety Production. He established Chongqing Boao Magnesium Company and held the post of Chairman in 2006 and made the company survive the price hikes of global magnesium materials and financial crisis during 2008 and 2009. The company has received a large amount of orders from world-famous automobile and electric tools producers and achieved vast export to Europe and North America, being a well-known enterprise with the largest production scale and product category.

Daniel Chu, General Manager Assistant and Trade Manager of Yulin Tianlong Magnesium Industry Co., Ltd., is charged with marketing of products including magnesium metal, magnesium alloy, ferrosilicon, etc., market development both at home and abroad and customer relation anagement, meanwhile be responsible for reception, administration, and external connection in the Representative Office of the company in Xi’an. Accumulating experience in the practices on both domestic and foreign market for many years, he has known well about market trend and laws about magnesium metal industry and relative products sectors.

After finishing my study of business administration at Vienna University of Econonmics and Business in year 1993, i started my carreer as head of controlling in Vienna took over the position as CFO at Georg Fischer, Altenmarkt in year 1995. I had to take over global purchasing of Magnesium at the very beginning. At that time there were only two suppliers globally - Hydro and Dow. After a hurrican destroyed the Dow facility in US it was a challenging time to cover the needs of the plant. So i was foced to find new sources and was belong the very first sourcing Magnesium from China.

In 2005 i left Georg Fischer and took over 45% in Remag and became managing director. Paralell i started my consulting company Jaschinsky@Solution, were I focused on process improvement, lightmetals, and casting. Since 2006 im holding the majority in the company Remag which we grew to more than 10000T of lightmetals in year 2015.

In 2014 I started a third company " Energy Harvesting Solutions GmbH", which develops and produces self sufficient controls - independ from batteries and external power supply.

Dr Zhen gained his PhD in materials science and engineering from University of Science and Technology Beijing, China, in 2003. He then conducted further research work on magnesium alloys at Oxford and Brunel Universities in England, and at the GKSS Magnesium Innovation Center in Germany. His major research areas are alloy development, processing technology, and castability evaluation etc. In 2009, Dr Zhen became the Manager of Research and Development at Magontec Xi’an. He took up his current role as Technical Director, Magontec Asia in 2011.

Wang Zongkun, with an international accounting bachelor degree from University of Shanghai for Science and Technology and a mechanical engineering master degree from North University of China, began to work in Shanxi Yinguang Huasheng Magnesium Co., Ltd. in 2005, and since then worked in a variety of posts in the company, including alloy factory director, bar product factory director, titanium sponge factory director, marketing director and the current Vice General Manager of the mother company Shanxi Wenxi Yinguang Magnesium Group Ltd.

Jun Hou, a researcher，the president assistant of Qinghai Salt Lake Industry Co., Ltd. and the chairman of Qinghai Salt Lake Magnesium Co., Ltd., has been engaged in the construction, absorption of technologies and trial-production management of magnesium metal project for many years.

Ziqi Yang, the marketing director assistant of Marketing Center of Qixin Alloy Material Co., Ltd. under DunAn Group, has 6-year experience in sales and management of magnesium metal and ferrosilicon, conducts consultation service on downstream products related to magnesium, introduces foreign technologies and makes magnesium service plan for aluminum processing industry.

Pengcheng Wang, as the ferroalloy product director of marketing department of Erdos Power Metallurgy Group Co. Ltd now, was successively engaged in international trade and domestic trade for ferroalloy products in Erdos Metallurgical Group since 2014 when the first ferrosilicon submerged arc furnace of Erdos Group was put into operation.
