Shanxi Tianyu Magnesium Group Co., Ltd., with the headquarters located in Fugu County, a new town of energy at the border of Shaanxi, Shanxi and Inner Mongolia, by the side of Yellow River, and in the hinterland of Shenfu Coal Mine, Shaanxi Tianyu Magnesium Group is a circular economy enterprise group consisting of 8 solely owned enterprises and 6 joint venture enterprises. By the end of 2012, the production capacity of the circular economy industry base (finished and under construction) for magnesium and magnesium alloy projects carried out by Tianyu Group with sole investment is: annual output of 2 million tons of separation coal, annual output of 1.2 million tons of semi coke, annual output of 120 thousand tons of coal tar, annual output of 1.2 million tons of coal powder, annual output of 50 thousand tons of magnesium ingot; annual output of 10 thousand tons of magnesium alloy ingot, annual output of 5 thousand tons of magnesium alloy profile, annual output of 5 thousand tons of magnesium alloy pressure casting, annual output of 0.3 billion magnesium slag baking-free bricks, annual output of 60 thousand tons of silicon iron, annual output of 200 thousand tons of calcium carbide, and two 50KW self-supply power generating projects. When construction of all the above projects are completed, there will be more than 2,000 employees enrolled and the value of the Group’s fixed assets will be almost RMB 1.5 billion, and the estimated annual value of production will be RMB 4 billion. The business of magnesium ingot export run by the Group will obtain foreign exchange of almost USD 20 million per year.
The magnesium metal production line of Tianyu Group has been approved by ISO9001 quality management system in 2009, and has been put on the list for the first batch of companies approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of PRC for the access into the magnesium industry.
