Degen Chen, graduated from Nanjing University, senior engineer. Has been engaged in chemical research and production management for a long time. Has unique contribution in many areas, especially in Chinese electrolytic manganese manufacturing industry. Established the first 400 tons / year electrolytic manganese production project in Xiangxi in 1984. Published "Electrolytic Manganese Production Line" papers in 1988, which were highly praised by experts; Found that can replace imported materials SeO2 by liquid sodium magnesium-fu (SDD) during manganese flake production in 1988, which was gifted as new products title in 1993. Successfully developed the "EMM cell", winning the national patent; Developed electrolytic manganese of high-purity in September, 1999. In 2006, successfully transformed the original steam coal process to the use of exothermic process of concentrated sulphuric acid dilute watery system. Successively served as vice President of the Federation of Chinese Electrolytic Manganese, vice President of Manganese Industry Association of Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture, vice President of Xiushan Electrolytic Manganese Association, etc. Awarded as one of China's top ten outstanding figures to electrolytic manganese industry in 2006.

Joined the company when it was founded in 2000. Has begun to participate in the development and management of the company's selenium projects as of 2002. Was also responsible for operating the subsidiaries which were producing selenium dioxide during 2006 to 2009. As an experiencer of selenium 10-year market development from 2003 to now, he masters long-term works regarding selenium customers, related production technology, raw material composition, product types, etc.

From April, 1988 to October, 1992, served as sales manager of Philippine Pacific Co., Ltd. in China. The company, the first domestic selenium dioxide producing enterprise, was controlled by Changsha Xiang'ou Chemical Plant and specialized in inorganic pigment of cadmium red and yellow as well as selenium dioxide.
From March, 1999 to February, 2001, held the post of general manager of Changsha Xiang'ou Chemical Trading Company.
From March, 2001 and December, 2002, was general manager of Changsha Xingxing Industrial & Trading Company. The company's main products were chemical products as well as agricultural and sideline products.
From January, 2003 and December, 2004, served as general sales manager of Changsha Xingxing Industrial & Trading Company. The firm focused on chemical products, metal materials as well as agricultural and sideline products.
Since January, 2005, has been general manager of Changsha Zhonggui Nonferrous Metal Co., Ltd. The company specializes in nonferrous metals including selenium, selenium dioxide processing and tellurium ingot.

Senior engineer, ever served as the 7th and 8th secretary general of China Special Steel Enterprises Association. Has worked on technology, information and planning in special enterprises as well as industrial associations for a long time. Participated in key consulting projects of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) chemical, metallurgy and materials departments, research work of "Strategic Research on the Application of Special Steel in Advanced Equipment Manufacturing" as well as drafting for special steel in the 12th Five-Year Plan of steel from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

With a Doctorate in Inorganic Chemistry from University of Pune, India, Dr. Samarth Agarawaal started his career with Asian Paints as Technical Engineer in Synthetic Paint Division of the company. Later in 2001, the company promoted him to Sr. R&D Scientist.

In year 2007 after completing his Masters Degree in Business Administration from IIM Mumbai, he joined Prakash Pigment Pvt Ltd as Business Analyst for its overseas business expansion. He helped company in expanding its horizons in International Business.

In year 2010 he joined RISE CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES as Overseas Business Director, with his focused approach and acute business sense he helped company in becoming world’s largest cadmium compound producer and exporter in last 4 years. Beside Cadmium, he also oversees Company’s Selenium refining business.

Served as a teacher in Foreign Trade College in Hubei during 1986-1988.

Held the post of trade representative, minister, deputy general manager in Hainan Huahui Trade Co., Ltd. during 1988-1992.

Has acted as general manager of Million Link (China) Investment trading Co., Ltd. since 1992.
