Guilv New Materials completes trial run of No. 5 mill for aluminum foil project
On October 28, Guizhou Guilv New Materials Co., Ltd. announced that the No. 5 1850mm aluminum foil finishing mill--the core equipment of its 6,000tpy power battery aluminum foil expansion project--completed its strip threading trial run. This marks the project's official transition into the equipment commissioning and trial production phase.
Upon full completion and operation, the company's total aluminum foil capacity will increase to 26,000tpy. The project is projected to generate an annual output value of RMB170 million (USD25.53 million), create 25 new jobs, and further unlock the deep-processing value of Guizhou's aluminum resources.
The newly operational No. 5 mill is equipped with automatic gauge control (AGC) and automatic flatness control (AFC) systems, intelligent shape roll regulation, and a full rolling oil recovery system. It can stably roll ultra-thin foils with a thickness as low as 2×0.0045mm, targeting high value-added fields such as energy storage lithium batteries and 3C digital batteries.
