Major Chinese steel mills' daily finished steel output up in mid-Oct

Major Chinese steel mills produced 18.26 million tonnes of finished steel in mid-October, with an average daily output of 1,826,000 tonnes, up 0.4% from the previous ten-day period, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).

By the end of the period, finished steel inventories at major mills were 17.22 million tonnes, an increase of 250,000 tonnes, or 1.5%, from early October.
