Brazil opens AD sunset review on Chinese crude metallic magnesium

Brazil's Secretariat of Foreign Trade (SECEX) has launched a sunset review of anti-dumping (AD) duties on crude metallic magnesium from China, following a petition from domestic producer Rima Industrial S.A.

Classified under MERCOSUR Common Nomenclature (NCM) tariff codes 8104.11.00 and 8104.19.00, the product faces a preliminary relative dumping margin of 120.9%. The review examines dumping from April 2025 to March 2026 and injury from April 2021 to March 2026.

Existing AD measures remain in force throughout the proceeding, which authorities must complete within ten months. Identified interested parties have 30 days from notification to submit questionnaire responses.
