India opens CVD probe into internally grooved copper tubes from China, Thailand, Vietnam

India's Ministry of Commerce and Industry has launched a countervailing duty (CVD) investigation into internally grooved copper tubes and pipes originating in or imported from China, Thailand and Vietnam, following an application from domestic producer MetTube Copper India Private Limited.

The inquiry covers products classified under HS codes 74111000, 74112100, 74112200 and 74112900.

The subsidy investigation period runs from April 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026, while the injury analysis period spans the financial years 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25 and the investigation period.
