Argentina launches third AD sunset and circumstance reviews on Chinese carbon steel fittings

Argentina's Ministry of Economy issued Resolution 1577/2026 on September 17, 2026, initiating a third anti-dumping (AD) sunset review and a circumstance review on carbon steel pipe fittings originating in China.

The investigation was requested by petitioners including local industry association Camara Fabricantes de Canos y Tubos de Acero and producer Cintolo Hnos. Metalurgica SAIC. It covers a dumping period from May 2025 through April 2026 and an injury period from January 2023 to April 2026.

The products under review are carbon steel pipe fittings for butt welding, in accordance with ASME B16.9 and ASTM A234 or equivalent standards (IRAM 2607, etc.), with external diameters equal to or greater than 60.3 mm and less than or equal to 323.8 mm in standard and extra heavy thicknesses, classified under MERCOSUR Common Nomenclature (NCM) 7307.19.20 and 7307.93.00. Excluded from the subject goods are 180° elbows, reducing elbows, and tees.

The regulatory announcement takes effect on its publication date.
