Capacity replacement plan issued for premium steel upgrading project of Daye Special Steel

On September 3, the Department of Economy and Information Technology of Hubei Province published a public notice regarding the capacity replacement plan for the green premium special steel upgrading and renovation project of Daye Special Steel Co., Ltd. The plan is now open for public review, with the comment period running from September 3 to September 23, 2026.

The project will be located in No. 316, Huangshi Avenue, Huangshi City, Hubei Province, and will install one 100-ton electric arc furnace (EAF), one 70-ton alloy steel EAF, one 70-ton AOD furnace, two 40-ton alloy melting furnaces, two 100-ton LF furnaces and one 100-ton RH furnace.
