Major Chinese steel mills' daily finished steel output rises in late Aug

Major Chinese steel mills produced 22.09 million tonnes of finished steel during the final eleven days of August, with an average daily output of 2,008,000 tonnes, up 4.8% from mid-August, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).

By the end of the period, finished steel inventories at major mills were 16.25 million tonnes, a decrease of 2,080,000 tonnes, or 11.4%, from mid-August.
