Sinomine Resources resumes normal shipments of Bikita lithium concentrate

Sinomine Resources announced that shipments of lithium concentrate from its Bikita mine in Zimbabwe returned to normal operations.

In February 2026, the Zimbabwean government temporarily suspended the issuance of export permits for lithium concentrate in an effort to crack down on smuggling and encourage local downstream processing. The company closely monitored policy developments and actively engaged with authorities, obtaining an initial export quota of 200,000 tonnes in April 2026, followed by an additional 300,000 tonnes in July 2026.

Despite logistical challenges--including limited overland transport capacity across Africa and port congestion--Sinomine Resources steadily expanded its logistics capacity. As of the date of this report, Bikita lithium concentrate shipments were fully restored, ensuring adequate feedstock to meet the needs of the company's domestic smelting operations.
