Beizhan Mining temporarily suspends iron ore production
On August 19, Baodi Mining announced that its controlling subsidiary, Hejing County Beizhan Mining Co., Ltd., temporarily suspended operations. The decision comes as Beizhan advances an integrated development plan with the Chahanwusu iron ore mine, aiming to improve resource utilization through a combined 10,000,000tpy mining and beneficiation project, for which it already obtained a mining license.
Beizhan Mining is currently in the process of securing safety facility design approval from the National Mine Safety Administration for the 10,000,000tpy project. Meanwhile, its existing ore stockpile was fully processed. After careful consideration, the company decided to put Beizhan Mining on a temporary production halt. Baodi Mining stated that it will actively engage with relevant authorities to expedite the review process and resume operations as soon as possible.
Beizhan Mining is primarily engaged in iron ore extraction, processing and sales. Baodi Mining holds a 51% stake in the subsidiary.
