Major Chinese steel mills' daily finished steel output down in early Aug

Major Chinese steel mills produced 18.19 million tonnes of finished steel in the first ten days of August, with an average daily output of 1,819,000 tonnes, down 8.2% from late July, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).

By the end of the period, finished steel inventories at major mills were 17.18 million tonnes, an increase of 910,000 tonnes, or 5.6%, from ten days earlier.
