Do-Fluoride gets EIA approval for 36ktpy battery material project

On August 11, the Jiaozuo Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau issued its approval in principle for the environmental impact report of Do-Fluoride New Materials' project to produce 36,000tpy of key materials for power lithium batteries.

The project will be built within the company's existing plant site in the Jiaozuo Economic and Technological Development Zone, Zhongzhan District. It involves upgrading and retrofitting the gas production section and the phosphorus pentafluoride (PF5) distillation unit of the current lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6) production line.

Once operational, the facility will have a production capacity of 36,000tpy of crystalline LiPF6, along with by products of 31% hydrochloric acid and 38% hydrofluoric acid.
