Tinergy Chemical to build LFP precursor and titanium dioxide projects
Tinergy Chemical announced two major investment moves on August 11. The company, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Gansu Dongfang Titanium Industry Co., Ltd., will build a 600,000tpy precursor plant for lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and sodium iron phosphate – namely, iron phosphate. The project, scheduled for two phases, carries a total estimated investment of RMB5.462 billion (USD760 million).
In a separate filing on the same day, Tinergy Chemical revealed it will inject RMB260 million into its majority-owned subsidiary Zhonghe Phosphorus Chemical to fund a new production line for 400,000tpy of titanium dioxide and 1,400,000tpy of ferrous sulfate heptahydrate.
