Social stability assessment issued for prebaked anode project of Yixing New Materials
On August 7, the government of West Ujimqin Banner issued a public notice regarding the social stability risk assessment for the 600,000tpy high-end prebaked anode project of Inner Mongolia Yixing New Materials Co., Ltd.
The project, with a total investment of RMB1.5 billion (USD222.36 million), will be located in West Ujimqin Banner in Xilingol League, Inner Mongolia. It will produce 600,000tpy of high-end prebaked anode, using petroleum coke and pitch as primary feedstocks. The production process includes forming and baking, with natural gas serving as the fuel – consuming roughly 50 cubic metres per tonne of output. Key equipment includes calcining furnaces, crushers, and waste heat boilers, supported by an automated control and monitoring system as well as a waste heat recovery system.
