Capacity replacement plan issued for Ansteel's No. 4 blast furnace overhaul project

On August 10, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Liaoning Province released the capacity replacement plan for the green and low-carbon major overhaul project of Ansteel's No. 4 blast furnace. The plan is now open for public feedback, with a comment period of 15 working days from the date of announcement.

The project will be located in the general ironmaking plant of Ansteel, and will install one blast furnace, with construction scheduled to begin in August 2026 and commissioning planned for February 2027.

As part of the capacity replacement, the other one blast furnace of 2580 cubic meters, equivalent to 2,140,000tpa capacity, was dismantled from July 2026.
