JSW Steel reports 3% year-on-year crude steel output growth in July 2026
India's JSW Steel Limited posted crude steel production of 2.402 million metric tons in July 2026, representing a 3% increase compared to the same month last year, according to a company statement released on Tuesday, August 11.
Output from the company's Indian operations reached 2.339 million metric tons during the month, reflecting a 4% year-on-year gain. In contrast, production at JSW Steel USA-Ohio fell 13% to 63,000 metric tons in July 2026.
JSW noted that the average capacity utilization rate at its Indian mills stood at 87% in July 2026. Meanwhile, the BF3 blast furnace at the Vijayanagar steel mill, which restarted on June 23, is currently operating at 80% capacity as it continues its ramp-up phase.
