Qingyuan Chujiang breaks ground on high precision copper strip and foil project

On July 28, the Guangdong division of Chujiang New Materials' copper strip and plate business – namely Qingyuan Chujiang High Precision Copper Strip Co., Ltd. – officially commenced construction on its 90,000tpy high precision copper strip and foil project.

The project represents a major expansion of the company's Phase III development in Qingyuan. With a total investment of RMB1.22 billion (USD180.45 million), it is scheduled for completion and commissioning by the end of 2027. The new facility will feature workshops for melting casting, precision rolling, and raw material processing, alongside supporting environmental protection and substation infrastructure. It will deploy an industry leading integrated intelligent manufacturing process that combines melting casting, hot rolling, welding, and cold rolling, with a dedicated focus on high end copper strip and foil products.
