In June 2026, China produced around 7.82 million tonnes of alumina, up 2.6% YoY, 3.98 million tonnes of primary aluminum, up 4.7% YoY, 1.66 million tonnes of aluminum alloy, up 1.0% YoY, and 5.87 million tonnes of aluminum products, down 1.1% YoY, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
In the first half of 2026, China's alumina output totaled around 45.77 million tonnes, up 3.3% YoY. Primary aluminum production reached about 23.19 million tonnes, up 3.8% YoY. Aluminum alloy output increased by 2.0% YoY to 9.19 million tonnes or so, while aluminum products output moved down 2.4% YoY to around 32.30 million tonnes.
