District files NI 43-101 PEA technical report for the Viken Deposit
District Metals Corp. has announced the filing of an independent technical report for the Viken Energy Metals Deposit, located within the Viken Property in Jamtland County, central Sweden.
In a news release dated June 2, 2026, the Company outlined that the Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) initially described a total life-of-mine production of 127 million tonnes, drawn exclusively from the 456-million-tonne Indicated Mineral Resource Estimate, without incorporating the Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate. However, the Company has since clarified that the mine plan-specifically the process plant feed-actually comprises approximately 77% Indicated Mineral Resources and 23% Inferred Mineral Resources.
Over the projected 13-year mine life, the operation is expected to produce approximately 16 million pounds of V2O5 annually.
The Viken Property encompasses 100% of the Viken Deposit, which hosts the world's largest undeveloped Mineral Resource Estimate of uranium, alongside significant resources of vanadium, potash, molybdenum, nickel, copper, zinc, and other critical raw materials.
