In June 2026, China produced 71.99 million tonnes of pig iron, down 0.9% YoY, 83.67 million tonnes of crude steel, up 0.4% YoY, and 126.56 million tonnes of finished steel products, stable YoY, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
In the first half of 2026, China produced 426.64 million tonnes of pig iron, down 2.8% YoY, 499.95 million tonnes of crude steel, down 3.0% YoY, and 718.78 million tonnes of finished steel products, down 0.9% YoY.
