Hunan Yuneng New Energy Battery Material Co., Ltd., a leading Chinese manufacturer of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode materials, has notified customers of a price adjustment. In a pricing notice issued on July 15, the company cited persistent increases in upstream raw material costs as the primary driver behind the move. Additionally, the company has been operating at full capacity, and its newly added production capacity this year has fallen short of surging order volumes from customers. As a result, Hunan Yuneng will raise prices of all its LFP products by RMB2,000 (USD295) per ton starting August 1.
