Wuzhou Mining secures approval for Shaanxi pilot base for vanadium materials development

The Department of Science and Technology of Shaanxi Province has officially announced its 2026 provincial-level selection list for concept validation and pilot-scale platforms, with "Shaanxi Provincial Pilot Base for Advanced Vanadium Materials and Energy Storage Development" proposed by Shaanxi Wuzhou Mining Co., Ltd. receiving approval for support.

The pilot base is designed to address the technological application and incubation needs of key vanadium-related fields, including high-purity vanadium pentoxide, high-purity metallic vanadium, vanadium-based alloys, sputtering targets, semiconductor materials, and all-vanadium redox flow battery energy storage systems. By zeroing in on critical technological bottlenecks across the vanadium industry chain, the base will deliver mature, proven, and comprehensive technical services and systematic solutions to facilitate the transition of scientific and technological achievements from the laboratory to mass production--effectively bridging the "last mile" in the commercialization of research outcomes.
