Noronex expands into U.S. critical minerals sector with Alaskan tin acquisition
On July 13, Noronex Limited announced that it has secured an exclusive option to acquire 100% of Alaskan Critical Minerals Pty Ltd, the holder of rights to the Sleitat Tin-Tungsten-Silver Project in Alaska. The project is recognized as one of the only large-scale tin developments in the United States. The Sleitat site features an extensive greisen-hosted multi-metal mineral system, supported by a significant historical resource estimate, high-grade historical drill intercepts, and promising indications of additional critical minerals. The project is situated in a jurisdiction consistently ranked highly for mining investment.
The historical (non-JORC) resource estimate, compiled by the U.S. Bureau of Mines, stands at 25.9 million tonnes grading up to 0.37% tin, 0.04% tungsten, and 17 g/t silver, equating to approximately 58,060 to 96,162 contained tonnes of tin. It is important to note that this historical estimate is not reported in accordance with the JORC Code (2012).
