Wushan Copper Mine phase III expansion project passes safety facility completion acceptance

On June 29, the safety facilities of the phase III expansion project of Jiangxi Copper's Wushan Copper Mine , designed by China Nerin Engineering Co., Ltd., officially passed the completion acceptance review by an expert panel from the National Mine Safety Administration.

The project is a key construction initiative in Jiangxi Province. Construction began in July 2021, with a design service life of 24 years and a daily ore processing capacity of 10,000t. As Jiangxi's first 10,000t-level kilometer-deep mine, the project features a main shaft depth of 1,088 meters and an auxiliary shaft depth of 1,119 meters, setting a new record for deep-shaft mining in the province.

Once operating at full capacity, the mine is expected to produce over 20,000tpy of copper concentrate (contained copper) and more than 400,000tpy of sulfur concentrate.
