On June 23, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for Phase I of the 60,000tpy new energy battery-grade zirconium oxychloride and 12,000tpy zirconium-hafnium separation high-purity oxide project, undertaken by Qinyang Dongzircon New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., a controlled subsidiary of Oriental Zirconic With a total investment of RMB532 million (USD78.20 million), Phase I of the project is designed to establish a production capacity of 60,000tpy o battery-grade zirconium oxychloride for the new energy sector.
