China's ten major nonferrous metals output up 3.1% in Jan-May

China's production of ten major nonferrous metals reached 6.98 million tonnes in May 2026, up 2.2% YoY, and the output from January to May totaled 34.38 million tonnes, an increase of 3.1% from the same period last year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.

In January-May, China produced 19.22 million tonnes of primary aluminum, up 3.5% from the prior year period, including 3.89 million tonnes in May, up 1.7%.
