EIA notice issued for Tianjin Baterui's LFP battery materials project

The Administrative Approval Bureau of Jinghai District, Tianjin has publicized the acceptance of the environmental impact assessment report for Tianjin Baterui Technology's lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery materials deep-processing project.

Situated at No.1 Jiuyuan Road, Tianjin Ziya Economic & Technological Development Zone in Jinghai District, the project boasts a workshop construction area of 9,754.25 square meters. With total investment hitting RMB120.1 million (USD17.75 million), the project will renovate existing premises and build new workshops, procure and install processing equipment to conduct crushing and sorting of purchased spent LFP batteries, plus resource recycling of partial LFP black powder mixture.

Upon completion, the plant will achieve annual processing capacity of 10,000 tonnes of waste LFP batteries and 5,000 tonnes of mixed LFP black powder, while an additional 538.93 tonnes of residual black powder will be sold as finished products every year.
