China releases national standard for magnesium and magnesium alloy powder

China's State Administration for Market Regulation (Standardization Administration) approved the release of the national standard GB/T 5149-2026 "Magnesium and Magnesium Alloy Powder" on April 30. The new standard replaces GB/T 5149.1-2004, GB/T 5150-2004 and GB/T 31974-2015, and will take effect on November 1, 2026.
