Dynanonic to launch phosphate cathode material projects

Shenzhen Dynanonic Co., Ltd. has announced plans to build two new phosphate cathode material projects in Yunnan Province.

The company will invest RMB6.3 billion (USD926 million) in a green phosphorus-based new energy material industrial chain project in Luquan Yi and Miao Autonomous County. The project includes a 300,000tpa phosphate cathode material plant and a 270,000tpa nitric acid plant. Located in the Luquan Industrial Park, the project will cover approximately 1,500mu (100 hectares) and has a construction period of 24 months.

Separately, Dynanonic plans to invest RMB2.4 billion (USD353 million) in a new lithium battery material project in the Huashan area of Qujing Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone. The project will include a 200,000tpa phosphate cathode material production line, along with supporting facilities for fire protection, environmental protection, R&D and offices. It will cover about 400mu (27 hectares) and also has a construction period of 24 months, with work scheduled to begin in May 2026.

In a separate announcement, the company's board approved the termination of two previously planned projects: a 330,000tpa phosphate cathode material project in Qujing's Economic and Technological Development Zone and a 110,000tpa project in Huize County. Management has been authorized to handle the termination procedures.
