Zhongke Xicai receives approval for rare earth metal project
Zhongke Xicai Rare Earth Alloy (Inner Mongolia) Co., Ltd. has received the initial approval from the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to build a 5,000tpa rare earth metal project.
The project will be located in the central section of the Baotou Bayan Obo Industrial Park (Rare Earth New Materials Industrial Park). It is designed to produce 5,000 tonnes of rare earth metals annually, including 500 tonnes of PrNd metal, 2,000 tonnes of LaCe metal, 1,500 tonnes of cerium metal and 1,000 tonnes of lanthanum metal.
Construction will involve using the company's leased production workshops, auxiliary buildings and office facilities to build a 5,000 tpa rare earth metal production line along with supporting utilities and infrastructure.
The total investment is RMB46.93 million (USD6.89 million), all of which will be funded by the company itself. The construction period is set at 24 months.
