China approves draft implementation rules for Mineral Resources Law
Chinese Premier Li Qiang presided over a State Council executive meeting on May 9, which reviewed and approved the draft regulations for the implementation of the Mineral Resources Law of the People's Republic of China.
The meeting noted that the regulations further refine the management of mining rights and the various stages of mineral resource development and utilization. It stressed the need to strengthen the whole-chain management of mineral resources in accordance with the law, scientifically determine the catalog of strategic mineral resources, improve resource reserve and emergency systems, and comprehensively enhance mineral resource security.
