US keeps AD and CVD duties on non-oriented electrical steel imports from six nations

On April 29, 2026, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) voted to maintain existing anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) orders on non-oriented electrical steel (NOES) imports from China, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Sweden, and Taiwan.

The decision came from a second sunset review, which determined that revoking the current trade protections would likely result in the continuation or recurrence of material injury to US producers within a reasonably foreseeable timeframe.

As a result of this final ruling, all existing trade restrictions on the targeted electrical steel products remain in effect.
