Connected Minerals to acquire major Niobium-REE Carbonatite Project in Angola

Connected Minerals Limited, an Australia-based company known for its uranium exploration in Namibia and multi-commodity projects in Western Australia, has entered into a binding conditional agreement to acquire 100% of Frontier Group CRM Pty Ltd. Through this acquisition, Connected Minerals will obtain an indirect 80% interest in the Bailundo licence in Angola, which hosts a significant niobium-rare earth element (Nb-REE) carbonatite complex. The move represents a strategic expansion into critical minerals, strengthening the company's portfolio.

The Bailundo Project features a large carbonatite complex approximately 7km in diameter, located within a 2,054km2 licence area. Recent validation sampling by Frontier has confirmed high-grade surface mineralisation, with channel samples returning up to 2.1% Nb2O5 and up to 7.7% TREO (including 1.3% NdPr). These results are supported by soil and rock chip samples. The mineralisation target is hosted in near-surface weathered saprolite and extends into fresh carbonatite.
