CMOC posts record quarterly performance in Q1 2026
China Molybdenum Co., Ltd. (CMOC) reported record-breaking results for the first quarter of 2026, achieving its highest-ever single-quarter performance.
According to the company's latest quarterly report, revenue reached RMB66.40 billion (USD9.67 billion), representing a 44.34% year-on-year increase and an 8.50% rise compared with the fourth quarter of 2025. Growth was driven by higher production and sales volumes across key products.
In Q1, copper production totaled 187,880 tonnes, up 10.15% YoY, while sales surged 47.11% YoY to 182,177 tonnes. Cobalt output reached 30,508 tonnes, marking a modest 0.31% increase. Niobium production rose 2.06% YoY to 2,670 tonnes, setting a new quarterly record.
By contrast, molybdenum production declined 4.7% YoY to 3,184 tonnes, while tungsten output fell 16.71% YoY to 1,660 tonnes.
The company's phosphate fertilizer segment also delivered strong growth, with production and sales reaching 299,400 tonnes and 328,100 tonnes, up 7.14% and 42.85% YoY, respectively.
