Guizhou Sunstone to build 300ktpa prebaked anode project

Sunstone Development Co., Ltd. announced plans to invest in a 300,000-tonne-per-year prebaked anode project in Shuicheng Economic Development Zone, Liupanshui, Guizhou. The project will be implemented and operated by its subsidiary, Guizhou Sunstone Shuangyuan Carbon Materials Co., Ltd., with total investment of up to RMB1 billion (USD146 million).

In parallel, Sunstone Development has signed a capital increase agreement with Guizhou Aluminum Group Co., Ltd. to jointly inject RMB398 million (USD58.25 million) into the project company. Sunstone will contribute RMB258 million (USD37.76 million), while Guizhou Aluminum will invest RMB140 million (USD20.49 million). Upon completion, Sunstone Development will hold a 65% stake, with Guizhou Aluminum holding the remaining 35%.
