Major Chinese steel mills' daily finished steel output slides in early Apr

Major Chinese steel mills produced around 19.54 million tonnes of finished steel during the first ten days of April, with the daily average output of 1,954,000 tonnes, down 5.1% from late March, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).

By the end of the period, finished steel inventories at major mills were 17.51 million tonnes, an increase of 960,000 tonnes, or 5.9%, from late March.
