Major Chinese steel mills' daily crude steel output up 21.6% in early Jan

Major Chinese steel mills reported crude steel production of around 19.97 million tonnes in the first ten days of January 2026, with daily output averaging around 1,997,000 tonnes, 21.6% higher than late December 2025, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).
