Major Chinese steel mills' daily finished steel output rebounds in late Dec

Major Chinese steel mills produced around 20.81 million tonnes of finished steel during the final eleven-day period of December 2025, with the daily average output of 1,892,000 tonnes, up by 4.9% from mid-December, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).

By the end of the period, finished steel inventories at major mills stood at 14.14 million tonnes, a decrease of 1.87 million tonnes, or 11.7%, from mid-December.
