On December 12, Xinjiang Huoshaoyun lead-zinc smelting project produced its first batch of lead ingot, following the earlier production of zinc ingot on October 31. This marks the full commissioning of the project and its entry into large-scale production.
The project is the world's largest oxide ore processing production line and, once fully ramped up, will have an annual capacity of 560,000 tonnes of zinc ingot and 110,000 tonnes of lead ingot.
