Major Chinese steel mills' daily crude steel output down 5.5% in early Nov

Major Chinese steel mills produced around 18.84 million tonnes of finished steel products during the first ten-day period of November 2025, with the daily average output at 1,884,000 tonnes, down by 5.5% from late October, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).

By the end of the period, major Chinese steel mills held finished steel products inventory of 15.49 million tonnes, an increase of 860,000 tonnes or 5.9% compared with late October.
