Major Chinese steel mills' daily crude steel output edges up in late Oct

Major Chinese steel mills produced around 21.94 million tonnes of finished steel products during the final eleven-day period of October, with the daily average output at 1,995,000 tonnes, a modest rise of 0.9% from mid-October, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).

By the end of the period, major Chinese steel mills held finished steel products inventory of 14.63 million tonnes, a decrease of 1.95 million tonnes or 11.8% compared with mid-October.
