Mingtai Aluminum launches new aluminum materials project

Henan Mingtai Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd. plans to invest RMB590 million (USD82.78 million) from its raised funds in a new project by its wholly-owned subsidiary, Henan Yirui New Material Technology Co., Ltd. The project will build an intelligent production base with an annual capacity of 720,000 tonnes of aluminum-based materials.

With a total investment of RMB1.52 billion (USD213 million) and an estimated construction period of 24 months, the project will be able to produce 264,000 tonnes of hot-rolled coils for new energy materials, 120,000 tonnes of hot-rolled coils for metal packaging, and 336,000 tonnes of hot-rolled coils for transportation applications annually. It is expected to start phased production in November 2027.
