Gansu makes first transfer of tin and antimony mining rights

In September, the Department of Natural Resources of Gansu Province held three rounds of auctions, selling 33 mining rights for a total of RMB4.4 billion (USD617 million), including coal (for gasification), tin ore and antimony ore, marking the province's first-ever mining rights transfer of these strategic mineral resources, and strategic minerals made up 97% of all mining rights sold.

So far in 2025, Gansu has auctioned 139 mining rights worth RMB8.5 billion (USD1.2 billion), supporting the province's push for high-quality growth in its mineral industry.

Since 2022, Gansu has sold 697 mining rights worth RMB60.2 billion (USD8.44 billion), covering 20 types of resources including coal, metallic, and non-metallic minerals, laying a solid resource foundation for the province's sustained economic growth.
