Xiangjiang Wanji's gallium metal project in full production

The 60-tonne-per-year gallium production line, part of an alumina smelter project by Luoyang Xiangjiang Wanji Aluminum Co., Ltd., has been running at full capacity since August, after starting trial production in July. Using an acid-based ion-exchange process to extract gallium from alumina red mud liquor, the project achieves efficient resource utilization, adding roughly RMB110 million (USD15.43 million) in annual output value and RMB15 million (USD2.1 million) in taxes and profits. The products are sold to Beijing, Shenzhen, Hunan, and Guangdong, with orders already lined up through the end of 2025.
