Shangtai Industrial to add ferrochrome capacity through replacement

The Ulanqab Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology has released the capacity replacement plan by Inner Mongolia Shangtai Industrial Co., Ltd. for its technical upgrade project, which will convert two 33,000 KVA ferronickel submerged furnaces to high-carbon ferrochrome production. The project involves ferrochrome capacity of 130,000 tonnes per year, with construction scheduled to start on September 10, 2025 and production expected to begin by September 30.
