Guangyuan North breaks ground on 20ktpa aluminum rod project

Guangyuan North New Materials Co., Ltd. has started construction of its aluminum wire rod project with an annual production capacity of 20,000 tonnes of specialty round aluminum rods for power cables and ultra-high-voltage cables.

Located in the Yuanjiaba Aluminum Industrial Park, the project will renovate 7,000 square meters of production facilities, install a 50-ton energy-efficient smelting furnace and a rolling mill, and upgrade its aluminum rolling line. It will also build a new production line for ultra-high-voltage cables, filling a gap in the sector. Construction began in August 2025 and is scheduled for completion by December.
