Major Chinese steel mills' daily steel product output rebounds in mid-Aug

Major Chinese steel mills produced around 20.49 million tonnes of finished steel products during the second ten-day period of August, with the daily average output at around 2,049,000 tonnes, up by 2.2% from early August, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).

By the end of the period, major Chinese steel mills held finished steel products inventory of approximately 15.67 million tonnes, an increase of 600,000 tonnes or 4.0% compared with ten days ago.
